ADMISSIONS

Addiction is a chronic, incurable condition that requires treatment. When you decide to reach out for help and contact a treatment center, a rehab admissions counselor can help you choose the best treatment program for your needs. Rehab admissions focus on collecting your medical and mental health history. Then they will begin evaluating your specific needs to ensure that you receive the care to help you achieve your recovery goals.

When you or a loved one is struggling with a substance abuse disorder, addiction, or drinking problem, you can become overwhelmed, frustrated, and lost. Addiction is a powerful and dangerous disease that causes you to abuse drugs and alcohol despite negative consequences or a strong desire to stop. Addiction also impacts and changes your brain’s pleasure and reward center, decision-making centers, as well as cognition. Substance abuse disorders can impair your judgment, resulting in you making harmful, dangerous, and damaging decisions.

What is Addiction?

Addiction doesn’t discriminate. Anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or religion, can develop a substance abuse disorder. Drugs and alcohol are both physically and psychologically addictive, which makes it difficult to overcome a substance abuse problem without help. Since drugs and alcohol are neurotransmitter inhibitors, they cause your brain to release more  neurotransmitters than it should. This creates a pleasurable rush of emotions and euphoria. Once your brain associates drugs and alcohol with pleasure, your brain begins rewarding your drug use. It releases excessive amounts of neurotransmitters. Your brain also restricts the release of neurotransmitters when you don’t use, which can cause intense cravings and painful withdrawal symptoms.

Addiction also increases your risk of contracting an infection, experiencing a fatal overdose, and dealing with legal and financial problems. While some signs of addiction are easy to spot, many times people struggling with a substance abuse problem conceal their symptoms.

Signs and symptoms of addiction can include:

· Personality changes

· Engaging in dangerous or questionable behaviors

· Isolating from friends and family members

· Changes in physical appearances, such as drastic weight changes

· Unexplained financial problems

Rehab Admissions

The rehab admissions process begins when you contact a treatment center and agree to participate in an inpatient or outpatient program. A rehab admissions counselor will ask questions about your physical and mental health, such as underlying or comorbid conditions. During rehab admissions, you will also be asked to provide details about your drug and alcohol use. It is important to answer these questions honestly. This allows your treatment team to develop the best recovery plan for you.

ACCEPTED INSURANCES AND SELF-PAY RATES

We accept almost all health insurance policies, so we recommend that you call our admissions department and provide your plan information.

If you do not have health insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover substance abuse, we offer flexible self-pay rates. Depending on your circumstances, such as the type, frequency and quantity of your drug or alcohol usage, we can design a treatment program that will effectively treat your addiction at an affordable price. Our self-pay programs generally range from $3,000 to $5,000 for one month of our intensive outpatient treatment program. We also provide finance options for those who qualify.

We suggest you call and speak with an admissions counselor to understand your insurance and financial options.

LENGTH OF PROGRAM

Your length of program can vary. Typically, our medical and clinical staff recommends a treatment program of 60 to 90 days for successfully maintaining long term sobriety. Our INDIVIDUALIZED programs are flexible to accommodate our clients’ particular circumstances. We provide housing options for our outpatient programs. Call our admissions counselors today and they will explain our treatment options.

Admissions Process

If you want to end the destructive cycle of drug or alcohol abuse, it is important to realize that your success may depend on accepting help from others. By recognizing that you have a problem and conducting a self-assessment, you have already taken a crucial step towards recovery. However, it can be dangerous to deal with addiction alone; this often times ends in failure

At Crossroads, we are experienced in dealing with addiction and substance abuse. We understand that you initially may have feelings of anxiousness or vulnerability. Our knowledgeable, empathetic staff can help you to overcome these feelings of discomfort as you work towards your goals. Addiction may seem like an insurmountable obstacle, but we’re here to restore hope.

The comfortable, supportive environment at Crossroads helps to make the addiction recovery process as effective as possible. We provide therapy that helps you to understand the underlying reasons behind your addiction, as well as unique counseling and education for family members. This can help to rebuild troubled or broken relationships that have been negatively affected by the disease.

By conducting a thorough patient assessment, we will be able to identify what sort of treatment modality is right for you.

STEPS IN THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

STEP 1 - CALL AND SPEAK WITH OUR ADMISSIONS COUNSELORS

They will ask you the following:

What is your insurance coverage? Once we know this, we can discuss your insurance plan benefits and self-pay rates, if necessary. Crossroads proudly provides treatment programs for Medicare & Medicaid clients , as well as being able to accept all forms of insurance in addition to our self pay individualized plans.

What are you struggling with? We ask this so that we can understand more about the substance of choice, frequency, and volume of use to determine the specific treatment you require and the treatment options we suggest for your specific situation.

Also, our admissions counselor will answer any questions you may have concerning our medical and clinical services and programs, and any other questions you may have concerning Crossroads.

STEP 2 - AGREEING TO TREATMENT AND THE ADMITTANCE PROCESS

Assuming you want to continue in seeking treatment, we would then verify your insurance benefits with your insurance company. This usually takes about 10 minutes. During that time, we will also conduct a preliminary clinical assessment to understand all of your medical and clinical needs and circumstances in more detail.

Once we have gathered all necessary information, we will then complete the admissions process. If for whatever reason Crossroads is not right for you or you don’t qualify, our staff will spend the time to review all other options given the information we’ve gathered. We will make every effort to connect you to a facility that will be a more appropriate fit.
